Ways To Keep Your Fabric Upholstered Bed looking New and Fresh!

Like our other beautiful furniture, we consider our beds to be integral to our daily life, and for majority, their favourite bedroom furniture.

Fabric upholstered beds, are not high maintenance as such, however a little care and duty is still required to keep your cosy bed looking at smelling fresh as new.

Vacuum regularly

Vacuuming your room and bed regularly will help remove dust and dirt that may be building up over time, the longer you leave it, the harder it may be to remove the dirt from the fabric, using harsh tools e.g. a scraper may also damage your bed.

Not only are you increasing the life span of your upholstered bed, but also by vacuuming you are preventing bed bugs from settling in your safe haven, thus reducing any allergies.

Use a Lint roller

Many of us have pets who are part of our families and lives. Use a lint roller to remove any per hair or fur from your fabric bed, this will keep your beautiful fabric looking fresh, and not worn out.

Stain removing

Unfortunate accidents do happen, for example, spilling some drink or coffee. It’s essential to react to the matter straight away. Choose a cleaner that will suit your fabric, whether it is from the supermarket or a homemade solution, please test the product on a small sector before using it on the actual affected area.

Avoid direct sunlight

Nothing beats the rays from the sun, however as in any aspect of life, anything of too much might not be a good idea.

It is tempting to allow all the sunlight to enter your room, surely it does make the room look more spacious and alive, however the sunlight can have an adverse effect on the fabric unfortunately, it can cause the fabric to fade over time.

Consider investing in some window shade, curtains, blinds to keep some sunlight out.

Use a fabric Freshener

To remove any bad odours without the need to wash upholstered fabricated items, a fabric freshener will instantly have your room and bed smelling fresh again, a freshness that will make you fall in love even more with your room and bed.
